The Comic Book that Teaches Kids to Code

broken image

It’s a comic book that has a gripping story, family drama, relatable kid/teen issues, a sketchy villain, a plot twist…. AND introduces coding concepts. It’s a must-get if your child likes comics.

Extra bonus points that the teenage protagonist - angsty but still likeable - is a girl and multiracial to boot (half Chinese, half White) and her partner-in-coding is Black. If we want more diversity in the tech sector, it starts by showing kids of color that it’s normal (and cool!) to code and that people who look like them are doing it.
